Scott Wagner, DPT, CMTPT is the owner of Pro Motion Physical Therapy. Scott has always had a passion for helping people and saw a real need in the community for physical therapy that would address how people move to eliminate pain. What he found was that traditional exercise-based approach to physical therapy was falling short, and patients who complained that exercises hurt rather than helped their pain were the patients who needed help the most.
Scott has trained extensively with both American and French osteopaths, developing mastery in osteopathic manual medicine techniques, cranial-sacral technique, and visceral manipulation. He also has advanced training with dry needling.
Before becoming a physical therapist, Scott was an NCAA competitive swimmer and later, a swim coach and personal trainer. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Mary Washington, his Master's in Science and Physical Therapy from Marymount University, and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The Medical College of Virginia. In his free time, Scott enjoys spending time with his teenage children, cooking and eating good food, and flying small aircraft.
