Elizabeth Edwards, DPT, Senior Staff Therapist, graduated from Georgetown University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies. Elizabeth then earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University, graduating in 2008 with a specialty in orthopedics. Since graduating, Elizabeth has been working in outpatient orthopedic clinics, her first position was in Manhattan and now in the Northern Virginia area. Based on her history as an athlete, including running, skiing, ice skating, and softball, Elizabeth has focused her time treating sports and over use injuries in both conservative management and post-surgical rehabilitation. She has furthered her education in manual therapy techniques including trigger point dry needling, craniosacral therapy, visceral mobilization, and functional manual therapy from the Institute of Physical Art. Elizabeth is originally from Massachusetts and enjoys rooting for all Boston/New England sports teams!
