Kristen Spatz, DPT, started her academic career at Elon University in North Carolina. During that time, she was an athletic trainer and graduated with her B.S. in Exercise Sport Science. Following graduation she obtained her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Columbia University. While at Columbia, she had the rare opportunity to train in Sydney, Australia where manual therapy was founded. Kristen had one on one manual therapy training where she has honed her diagnostic and treatment techniques. It was there that she realized that working with the outpatient orthopedic population was her gift. After Columbia Kristen started her career as a physical therapist in NYC at a private outpatient orthopedic clinic treating patients with a variety of diagnoses & refining her skills in the orthopedic setting. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association & has furthered her education in manual therapy techniques from the Institute of Physical Arts, Maitland & Pilates Certification Courses. Kristen enjoys participating in any sport or outdoor activity & has completed 2 triathlons, one in the Nation's Capital!
